My First Furry Scurry

Back at the beginning of May, I helped set up and run my school's booth for the annual Furry Scurry event held at Washington Park in Denver.

I was there before 6 a.m. to set up the booth for the vet tech program.

It was quiet at first,

as vendors arrived and started setting up.

There were all kinds of events

for the dogs to try,

as well as refreshments.

The vendor next to me was selling doggie baked goods.

It was a great opportunity for shelters to get the word out as well.

People started to arrive around 7:30.

Some came just to have fun with their pooches (this is a toy that a little terrier was chasing),

and some were there to participate in the marathon walk around the park.

There were all kinds of faces

and breeds.

I had a great time

visiting vendors

and wandering with my camera.

I got all kinds of puppy goodies that I gave to a co-worker with dogs.  And I missed Romeo and wished he was there with me.
